Hello Calista,
ReplyDeleteYour Micro Lesson is certainly more aesthetically pleasing than my own and better organized to boot. The effort you took to use hyperlinks made it look very professional. Your slides would be easy for a substitute teacher to make use of if needed. Providing a template to your students ensures that they will not end up wildly off track. Your rubric is professional and looks easy to use. Overall, this was one fantastic effort on your part. Well done!
Oh Miss Calista... your micro lesson was wonderful! This was such a fun lesson and very helpful for students who are in the transition process. I really enjoyed the pretty PowerPoint and the way you broke down the lesson. If a substitute teacher would sit in this class, I am sure they would have no issues teaching this based on how thorough you were. You did an excellent job of differentiation for different students and I loved how you included an editor role for gifted students who finished early. I do think you could find an ELA/English standard to connect back to the lesson through something involving writing... possibly! Overall great job! I will definitely be sending this to my mentor teacher, because I know she would love to do this in her life skills course.
ReplyDeleteCalista, you are going to be an amazing teacher. This lesson was well developed and descriptive to follow along with the instruction. I loved the presentation you created as they are simple and to the point to help students in creating their thank you letters. This is also a great life skill to teach students as they will apply it to their futures. Your rubric and template will be helpful for students to follow along as they work independently. Thank you for sharing!
ReplyDeleteHi Calista!

It is overall such a fun lesson!
Hey Calista,
ReplyDeleteI loved your lesson. Having students write thank you letters is something that should be done. I remember writing thank you letters and not knowing what to write. I like that you are teaching students real-life skills that are very needed, especially for seniors; they don't know yet how useful this skill is. I can tell you put a lot of time and thought onto your lesson. Also, I love the sunflowers in your presentation.
